1. What we collect
We collect what's needed to run the marketplace: your name, email, phone (optional), profile details, school email (for students), government ID images submitted for verification, job posts and applications, messages you send, location at check-in (when you opt in), and payment records (handled by Stripe — we never see full card numbers).
2. App analytics and product data
We collect basic in-app events such as page views, onboarding progress, job-post attempts, applications, and review-prompt responses. We use this to understand drop-off points, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and measure whether users can complete the marketplace lifecycle.
3. How we use it
To create and secure your account, match customers with students, process payments through payments, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with the law, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. AI-assisted features
Student Helpers may use AI services to help draft job posts or messages, summarize reviews, rank applicants, flag unsafe content, and assist verification review. Inputs sent to these features may include the text, job details, or profile information needed for that feature.
5. Who can see what
Your public profile (name, photo, bio, ratings) is visible to other signed-in users. Messages are visible only to thread participants and, when reported, to our moderators. ID documents are accessible only to admins reviewing verifications and are deleted after review.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to that data.
7. Photos, messages, and reviews
Job photos, profile photos, messages, applications, and reviews are stored so the marketplace can function, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and show trust signals like completed jobs and streaks. You can request deletion, but we may retain limited records when required for safety, payment, tax, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.
8. Retention & deletion
We keep account data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@studenthelpers.app. We may retain limited records (transactions, moderation logs) as required by law.
9. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete it. Email support@studenthelpers.app and we'll respond within 30 days.
10. Children
Student Helpers is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. App Store privacy categories
Depending on how you use the app, Student Helpers may collect contact info, user content, identifiers, coarse location, payment-related records, diagnostics, and product interaction data. Apple privacy labels should be kept aligned with these categories before each release.
